I love wearing trousers held up with braces and I'm a woman!!!

I wish other women would admit to wearing braces. I dont see this as a fad as I have always enjoyed wearing braces . Why should men have the monopoly on  these lovely items ?? I wore them when I was pregnant propper ones not the maternity ones . For me I love braces so I just went and bought some funky pairs!! I was fed up with picking my trousers off the floor or heaving them up even with side adjusters  , I did hide them under jumpers and cardies and heaven forbid had anyone seen them at the time !! I'm getting braver though, I have worn dress pants to work with braces albeit with a buttoned jacket up but I think some people got a glimpse of them !!! My husband likes me in them too. I would dispute the fact that that they are 'men only' . Firstly women in ancient egypt wore trousers, secondly I want to have my trousers sitting correctly and benefit from having them improving my posture. I don't mind wearing trousers with no belt or braces or just a belt but I love the secure feeling of wearing trousers with a lovely  pair of braces. Today I'm wearing a wonderful maroon pair with white stripes I have 7 pairs of braces but have ordered some more as I plan on wearing them more often !!

So come on ladies  admit to loving braces, wear them with pride and spread the word!!! We need more of us to speak out . I'm not the only one. I think there is a need for female literary heroines and characters that wear braces. I do some Am dram acting and I would love to play a lady character who proudly braces on her trousers!!

I love my braces !!!!!

I am 29 weeks pregnant now with a giant bump and got fed up with heaving my trousers up. I felt pretty miserable but as a 1980s refugee I recalled that I had some pairs of elastic braces (trouser suspenders) and I also bought some new ones . Midwives should give out free pairs!!! I had forgotten how ridiculously comfortable and enjoyable they are to wear !!! I have always liked them. I have been swayed by fashion in the past and have been ashamed of the secret affection I had for these accessories ,but not any more -they are a Godsend!!! I also heard that they are also supposed to be great for posture . I once read somewhere that women should not wear them as they had no physical reason to. I whole heartedly disagree, belts can chafe and braces hold ladies trousers up beautifully , in a more superior way and they feel more secure!!

Now I'm v. happy that I rediscovered them and am no longer ashamed to admit it!!!Gone is the misery of pulling up my trousers every 5 seconds it has been replaced by the joys of having my having my trousers staying put. My hubby finds me attractive in them , I absolutely love wearing them and I WILL be incorporating them into some of my outfits after I give birth !!!! * happily tugs on braces* :)

Big hair, Big bump, big argggh!!

Hmm I'm 14 weeks pregnant , my baby is 8cm long. So why do I look like I have swallowed a mini-bus? It is weensy so there is NO need man!!! And I'm fed up with people asking If I'm having twins - frankly that is just MEAN !! Also I seem to have turned into Dolly Parton surely that shouldn't happen so early!!!

!! I'm keepin' it real with my dress sense ,. I'm mixin' up maternity with my 80s take on the whole style thang !!! I'm still finding some people are treating me differently but between you me and the wall I 'm quite upset by it even though I plaster on a smile and get on with it.

I hope they realise that I'm still their friend on the inside, that I still care about them that I'd never do any homework without wearing head'phones or go anywhere without my treasured mirrored aviators!! x x
